SOFT VOICE MISSION MINISTRY

Preaching to the world the word of God

SOFT VOICE MISSION MINISTRY

First and foremost I must say thank you for taking your time to visit Soft Voice Mission Ministry’s web-site. Your visiting this website brings an encouragement to our hearts. We are "a ministry with a Vision." Our Ministry has compassion to God’s people who are perishing in sin. We have a call to reach the lost, develop the believer, teach the young, old and care for the forgotten people in Matopeni Kayole Nairobi and the all God’s people worldwide.

This is a ministry where the whole body is taken care of. It is a Ministry where the Spirit is nourished. We love all people young and old, Men and Women. When you first come to this place you don’t feel like leaving the place because of the Love you will receive in this Ministry. A ministry with a purpose and goal. In this Ministry everyone is important. We see people the way God sees them. God sent us to Matopeni to raise leaders, because we know that everyone has a gift from the Lord.

In case you find yourself in Nairobi Kenya; if you are looking for a Ministry where your body, your mind and your spirit will be fed; if you are not saved or you don’t have a church to worship; this is a place where God ministers to His people in worship. We preach God the Father God the Son God the Holy Spirit as led by the Holy Spirit. The Bible is our Constitution that we use in telling God’s people what their father speaks to them. It is a warm fellowship which is both Biblically sound and Socially conscious fits your spiritual appetite, please pay us a visit.

We believe in making disciples. Our mandate is to call people in salvation then we get humble time with them, then we teach them the word of God. When they believe and follow what they are taught, they become ministers of the Gospel. We go as Christ commanded us.

In many cases we find that people are wounded but they don’t want to speak it out. Some women were raped when they were young, such incidents become the workshop of the devil. They feel humiliated. They feel rejected, they feel hated. They need someone who will show them agape love. We promise we are here to provide that love to them.

In this Ministry we are Spirit filled. We give the Holy Spirit a humble time to minister to us whichever way the Lord wants.  We are not in early when it comes to the time when the Holy Spirit ministers. At Matopeni, God directed us to go to door to door Evangelism. We started by opening Home Bible Churches (HBC) in our members houses. We target the people who are staying in the same plot and the surrounding of those members. It has become so effective to receive new members in this Ministry through Home Bible Churches.

We look forward to see you and worship with you soon. Incase you need any assistance, feel free to ask through our contacts. Asking is knowing. If God opens your eyes to see mistakes in this ministry, please feel free to tell us to rectify because era is to human. We need and accept your comments. We ask the Holy Spirit to guide us in everything we do. we also need your prayers because with prayers God can open every door which was shut but the devil

SOFT VOICE MISSION MINISTRY

TO MATOPENI SLUM.

The name Matopeni is a Kiswahili name which means a muddy place (Kiswahili is our national language here in Kenya). The reason why the place was named Matopeni is, from the out look of things that place was so dirty that nobody desired to stay there. But as time went by Nairobi started growing rapidly.

At this place people discovered the crushing stones to make it ballast which is also know as quarry. Since getting jobs in Nairobi become too difficult to get, people had to go to this place to crash stones for a living. It is not an easy job but they are managing.

This people had to walk from some nearby Estes. Houses became expensive for these workers; so some people decided to go to this place and started building Iron Sheet houses we call them slums which were not expensive for them. Although people have started building permanent houses, this people are still staying in poverty. Because the spirit of poverty is following them. We need to break down this spirit to come out of this place in Jesus name.

As I was meditating upon this name (Matopeni) Spiritually, I got a revelation. Although Matopeni was a dirty place in the physical, these also apply to the Spiritual life. The devil has smeared people with spiritual mud in this place.

He has made them to stay poor, even if they try doing anything they can not succeed unless something is done. It is like a curse. So that is the reason why God sent us to this place, to bring  a solution to His people, to preach good tidings to the poor as it is written in the book of Isaiah 61 the whole chapter.

We are pleased to introduce Soft Voice Mission Ministry to you. This is a Ministry which God Himself anointed and gave it to us to go to Matopeni and become a blessing to many!

We are a Ministry based in Kenya with an International Outreach mind. Not by mighty nor by power but by the Holy Spirit of the living God. Before we opened this Ministry on Sunday 3rdJanuary 2010 we started going around Cities of Kenya for door to door evangelism, touching the hearts of many people with the Gospel of Salvation the hearts lost Souls equipping them to be ready to attack satan because he is our greatest enemy

We believe the Scriptures, both Old and New Testament, are the inspired Word of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible Divine and final authority for all Christian faith and life.

We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He lived a sinless life, miracles and healings attest to His earthly ministry.

He died on the cross as the sacrifice for our sins. He arose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the Father as our High Priest and Advocate.

We believe the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is granted to all believers who ask for this experience. We believe this experience is distinct from and follows the new birth.

Every believer can and should be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues. We believe the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as theSpirit of God gives utterance.

We believe in the Baptism of water by immersion and that one day Jesus will be coming back for a Holy Church of which we want to be partakers at the Lord’s Table after Resurrection.

We have a Vision to establish Soft Voice Mission Ministry as a place of excellent Worship and total reverence to Christ. We have a Vision of having this Ministry be where everyone will call home.

A place where the sick will be healed by the blood of Jesus Christ, a place where the Spirit of God will be in full control of everything done in this Ministry, place where problems will be solved by the Holy Spirit, a place where the presence of God will be felt everywhere, a place where Demons will be cast out, a place where God’s people will be set free,

This will be the place of Worship! A place of a unites God’s through:

·        Missions Outreach

·        Intercessory

·       Training pastor and other Leaders on how to handle the flock

·       Youth  Ministry

·       Sound Ministry

·       Music (Praise and Worship, Choir)

·       Hospital ministry

·       Schools and Colleges Ministry

·       Men Ministry

·       Ladies Ministry

·       Children and pre-teens

·       Ushering Department

·       Home cells

·       Couple ministry

·       Decollation and pulpit ministry

·       And all the other supporting Ministries.

God led us to Matopeni Slums as an answer to the specific needs of the slum dwellers. So many Ministries have preached in Matopeni and left the slums with hopelessness. We believe in giving hope to the hopeless as I have stated earlier.

Others could not make it because their motive was looking for money, we were told that many pastors tried to open churches but they could not sustain those Churches. There are some few ministries God has put in this place, we will try our best to come together and work together because we can not contain all the people in one place.

On this foundation as we were praying, God connected me to some of His servants, who encouraged me to open this Ministry and serve the people of God without reservation. God Bless you where you are because of your encourage to me. Thanks for all what you have always told.

This small area has over 50,000 people living in it. This place is mostly made up of (widows and their children) and (Single Mothers and their Children). Street kids, Prostitution and alcoholism is very high here as well.

It is a slum area in Nairobi not very far from our International Airport. It is a slum in one of the many forgotten slums in Nairobi, in Kenya.

Matopeni slum is infested with careless lifestyles which have resulted in many families loosing bread winners as a result of HIV/AIDS.

God gave us a very specific message to take to the people of Matopeni. Take care of them and nurture them as the Bible says.

Our vision is to hear the word of God, we get it into our hearts, we then preach it as it is in the Bible from house to house, making those who believe Disciples of Jesus Christ for them to become His Ambassadors, and then all of us, we come together to make Him known to every creature starting from Matopeni to all parts of the world through all available means by the help of the Holy Spirit.

We plan to give hope where there is no hope in all aspects of life by:

·       Purchasing PA system which will allow us to preach the Gospel starting from Matopeni to the other parts of Kenya to the entire world.

·       Purchasing a piece of land where we will call Home, a starting point of our Missions.

·       Establishing a Church in Matopeni which is Soft Voice Mission International

·       Drilling Water points within the Slum to serve the Community.

I have toured the place and the following are the photos showing how the place is:

The residents of Matopeni Slums endure extremely poor living conditions. One problem that affects the health and development of the entire community, especially women and children, is almost total lack of sources of clean water for drinking and other domestic use.

Generally, at the present time, most dwellers, especially women and children, have to walk about two miles, several times a day, to bring home a small bucket of water for domestic use.

Lack of clean water in the immediate vicinity of the slum village poses many serious health risks, especially for women and children. Apart from the increased danger of childbirth, women and children are exposed to the many tropical diseases in this area, notably Typhoid Fever, Malaria, Cholera, Dysentery and others.

In addition, lack of clean water impacts the population in other vital areas. Education is adversely affected since children are forced to spend inordinate amounts of time scrounging for unsanitary water. As a direct consequence of this problem, the residents of Matopeni live on the margins of society and are essentially disenfranchise.

Children are forced to stop going to school to go and work at the quarrywhich in the evening they go home with less than a dollar.

Following the high cost of constructing a church building, God connected us to one of the brothers who has a school in Matopeni Slum. We shared with Him the vision we have upon this slum. God touched Him, and then he allowed us to use some of his classes to open Soft Voice Mission International Church.

It is not a very good environment for the church. There are sometimes when we will want to have week day meetings like lunch hour services, evening services, counseling services, Conferences.

But this place will not be the best to use for all this purposes because the classes will be occupied by pupils. Again the way the classes are build, they are very small. Since we believe in growth, soon the classes will be too small for us.

We request our friends in the Lord where you are to pray for us for God to open doors so that we can purchase a plot where we can put a Sanctuary for the Lord. Where there is no Vision people perish and Faith is a substance of things hoped for. We believe that our God is able to do it.

These classes are build of Iron sheets which are too hot when the climate is Sunny. We will be required to installed fans to improve air circulation because permanent air conditioners cannot be installed in an iron sheet structure.

The floors of these classes are not cemented so there is too much dust that can bring diseases. We need also to improve this learning center for our Kids to find a smooth place of learning.

These kids need learning materials like books, pencils, pens, rubbers, uniforms they also need computer classes which will require us to have computers etc. We please need your assistance where you can. We don’t have resources to pay teachers, may God intervene in this situation.

The reason why we decided to put this church in this school for the time being is because we are targeting the parents who bring their children to this school.

Recently the school had a graduation ceremony where we encouraged pupils to work hard in there education up to University level.  I was the one who was giving them certificates. It was so powerful. The following are the photos we took during that time.

In this school because the place is a learning institution, we can not raise the pulpit. So I believe it will be hard for people sited behind to see the preacher demonstrating something in the front.

This shows the plan we have for the Church, to make it a center of attraction within Matopeni slums such that it will offer hope to the souls attending the services.

As I said earlier, our need at this moment is to purchase equipments; we need to have Open Airs and Crusades in the area and beyond Matopeni. We need them for outside meeting and indoor meetings. I am pregnant for Matopeni slum.

I pray than God touches brothers and sisters in the Lord to assist me to accomplish this vision, because I can not make it alone. I please need vision helpers to support me in fighting a good fight and finish the race.

We need your prayers because anything starts with God will prosper. It doesn’t matter how it starts but the end matters. We need your support where you can.

We can not make it alone, please introduce us to your friends and explain to them what is happening. Who knows, maybe one of them can be touched to bless the work of God in Matopeni slums.

From Matopeni slum we need to open Soft Voice Mission International in many slums in Kenya and in Africa because many people in slums are neglected by our governments.

We wish you a happy new year, a year of luminosity a year of prosperity and fruitfulness. We pray for God to open doors which were shut down by the devil in your lives. May our Almighty God richly bless you.

Yours in Christ service,

Pastor Evans Gichana Kebungo.
